too, too long

it's been a month?!? i am so very sorry! firstly, i have no realy excuse. i've just been in a bit of slump. i have made some cards though. in addition to being in a slump about cards, i've been in a bit of a slump about everything. i haven't blogged much at all, as you can see. yeah, i've had stuff to do... ladybug has been home for the summer. but she started day camp today, so i can't blame her for the next few weeks.

well, i'm getting back in the swing of things and am pulling myself out of my slump. i've got a got a group coming over on august 16th, so i've got to decide on which projects we're going to do. also, i've decided to paint my garage and hold workshops in it, ala my girl patty b. i'm excited about that and can't wait!

now, my other delima, which i talked about briefly in the previous post, is still a delima. i've got so much other, non stamping stuff to do (yes, i do other stuff besides stamping and scrapping), around my house - like add more major decorator touches to my daughters bedroom, find her a desk, rug, bookshelves, and a new room color to paint it, completely redo our backyard due to a flood, and, hmm... o, we need new linens, and a new double vanity in the master bath. and i musn't forget the fact that i am in desperate need of crafting storage!! it's so hard to decide what to do.

buy tons of new and wonderful stamping up! goodies - oh the new scallop punch is amazing, and the new 'in colors' are practically edible! - so i can do more creating with, and hold new exciting workshops with. or do all that stuff around and for the house. what's a craft crazy girl to do??

well, on to the cards... the 'little birdie told me' is a bday card for a friend of dh, the green and brown card is from the set 'tie the knot' and it's an anniversary card for my dear sister adn friend crystal, the last one is for another friend. everything is stampin up! copyright 1999-2008 (yeah, yeah, i'm still working on that too!)

decisions, decisions,..

oh what is a girl to do? today is the end of the year for stampin up! which means that they retire or make dormant quite a bit of thier products and accessories and there's tons of stuff i want to get. i feel i have to get.

oh the ribbon, the glittery sparkles, the brads, scissors, the paper. ooooh the paper. i've got a jones for paper so bad. yes. making cards, scrapbooking, and doing classes and workshops is just an excuse to have all the but then, there's my backyard.

it was flooded for almost a week when we had those torrential rains a few months ago. it killed almost everything and i am so very sad. nothing is blooming. well, not exactly. there's one little half sad plant that has some fuschia flowers on it, and my potted bouganvillea is trying so very hard to do something for me. sweet thing.

so my delima? well, do i spend a small fortune on my crafting or my backyard? what to do, what to do??!!!?!? i'll let you know!

daddy's day

hey there!

i hope all is well with you and yours. how was your father's day? we hung around the house just relaxing, its juan's favorite pastime! then my mommy, ladybug and i headed over to my darling little brothers house for a visit. it was so much fun. it's always fun being at his house. he's a comedian and doesn't even know it! plus his 4 boys are just as hilarious as he is. but cuter!

his second youngest son jaylin, is the same age as ladybug and they are the bestest of friends. his youngest son, jordin, is just adorable too. i could just eat him up!

i'm fascinated to see just how well my 'lil bro has turnd out to be such a great dad (and hubby too). well, not really, really. it's all he ever wanted since he was young. to be a daddy. and a great one he is!

graduation season

hey there!

here are some graduation cards i've been working on this week that i wanted to get posted before i check out for a few days. these were done for my daddy for my daddy. he's mr. popularity with everyone (especially the ladies! we call him "captain-save-a-honey"), and all my cousins hit him up every year because he gives out the best graduation gifts. then i did a pretty blue bday card for a good family friend of my juan's friend. i think the blue and red cards are my fav.

some back soon because i've got a few cards in the works now all spread out on my dinning room table. it's driving my ocd husband crazy! poor man. let's see, i've got a new baby card, thinking of you, and of course - daddy's day! plus, i've got some new stuff to play with - stickles gitter, pearls shinny beads, new paper, bookplates, ooh, i feel like getting up now and making something! nope, got to go to bed, it's 2:30 am! night, night....

again, i'm still working on figuring out how to add pic's and make them look all fancy shmancy, and will add commentary later because, again..... i'm being harrassed....



these cards are for my mom and sister in law. i made a cute little "purse" for my mom and filled it with little notecards. she loved it! it's really easy to make and when i get some time and are not being rushed (harrassed), then i'll get more info about it posted. also, i made some beautiful cards for my mommy in law and auntie peaches (hubby's aunt-i just adore her!!), but mailed them off before taking pic's. i've got a few more mommies day cards, and am working on some graduation day cards as well (that time of the year!) to post too, so check back later today.
