what?!? oh noooo!!!

hey, hey!

i'm so embarrassed! a few months ago i sent off a few cards to some friends - a couple from my fav crafting spot splitcoast stampers - and guess what?!? they came back in the mail yesterday!!! i put down my own zip code on some, and my house number for others. what a dope! i feel terrible! (yes, one was to you ponygirl and babz - so sorry!) gonna try it again!

well, that spooky time of the year is coming, so i'm getting ready for it. i've started working on projects this week and will do some classes at the end of the month and the first week or so of october. the only problem is that i'm anticipating a large turnout so i'll have to use my garage, which means that i'll have to clean it out!! uuhhgg!

actually, it's not that bad if you compare it to alot of my neighbors'. we had a garage sale over the summer and just never put away everything. well, at least everything is still nicely organized and ready to go to salvation army/goodwill! i just don't feel like dealing with it because once i start going through stuff, i'll start thinking up reasons as to why i should hold on to it for just a little while longer, lol!! and no, i'm not a pack rat! not really...

so back to classes. i've never held any 'official' classes before, so i'm a little anxious about it. i usually just have a few buddies over, we stamp, goof around, eat, and giggle alot. or make stuff just for friends and family - but for the last year or so many, many people have asked me to show them how to do what i do. so here we are... classes!

i'm working on how i'm going to manage the registration process. i usually use evite, but may use eventbrite instead. my full time position is as as a life coach, and i use eventbrite in my practice when i do my workshops and seminars, so i love it. i'll be doing 3-4 classes and here's some of the info...

fresh start!

ok. i've decided that i will start holding classes! people always tell me how hard cardmaking and scrapbooking must be, and that they could never do it themselves. and i always tell them that if someone like me can do it, then they surely can!

and what i mean by "someone like me" is that i'm sick. i have partial paralysis, due to my siezures/mini strokes, muscle atrophy (stiffening of the muscles) so it's hard for me to do those things that require fine motor skills, and more than any of that - the fact that i am not one of those crafty, creative types! at all! i am color challenged too!

like i said. if i can do it, then you can do it too!

so with that said, i'm going to start having classes or workshops (i like that term better!), well get togethers really, where we'll make cute projects, cards, and scrapbook pages, learn new things, eat, and enjoy each others company. i've joined a company called stampin up! so i could get the discount on their fantabulous products, so i will be primarily featuring their stuff. i LOVE it!!

i'm going to put up my schedule here on my blog at some point - something else about blogging that i've got to figure out, lol! so keep your eyes open for it. meanwhile, here are a few cards i did earlier this week. enjoy!

be well :)

i know, i know!!!

it's been a long while now. i had to take a break and re-evaluate this blog thing. i also took a break from crafting as well. i have another blog as well (princesstinybutt) and i went on hiatus over there too. i'm seriously thinking of ending this blog and just post all my craft stuff along with my regular crazy life stuff too. i don't know yet, so meanwhile, stay tuned! i promise that i will be posting more regularly til i figure out what i'm going to do.

also, a big reason for why i've been so imtermittent with crafting was because i didn't have any kind of decent space. i'd been spread out all over the dinning room, wrecking my beloved dinning room table - it had been weeks and weeks since we'd eaten at the table, something we always do! well, my sweet hubby got me some organization thingy's, i don't know what to call them, but i know you've seen them around, walmart, target, etc. then they sat for forever until my beloved glo bug resued me! she came over with her tools and put my thingy's together!

so now i actually have an out of the way, dedicated space - still in the dinning room, but OFF my table!!! THANKS GLO!!

be well :)

more holiday stuff

i forgot to post the treat boxes i did!

holiday stuff

here are the christmas and holiday cards i made. boy was i tired! also, i made cute little boxes for all the treats i baked for friends and family. i hate that i couldn't do it for everyone though. but i did have a blast doing it!
take a look at the christmas tree on the red card that i'm holding (second one down). i embossed it, along with the greeting, with silver ep. and i did the snow flakes on the blue card juat after the red one. i love embossing and it's so easy for the effect you get. well, enjoy!

ps... i finally decided to start doing stamping and scrapbooking classes, so keep an eye out for my schedule.
be well :)

look ma, no stamps!

i thought i'd try to make some cards that did'nt involve actual stamping. a while before i made these cards i bought some rub ons at michael's and in my scrap caddy they sat. honestly, i just didn't know what to do with them. so i thought i'd experiment on some cards. i LOVE rub ons! i use them in my scrapbook layouts as well. the other thing i love ar die cuts; that's what the flowers are on the blue card and the orange card. the green flowers, hearts, butterfly, and actual sentiment on the black face card are rub ons. the pink, orange, and small green flowers are felt. yeah baby! oh so neat!

been a long time!

so sorry! i've neglected you in a major way! as you already know, i've got my primary blog and i'm now realizing just how hard it is to maintain both of them. but then again, i have'nt tried too hard.

anyway... so, like i was saying, i've been a bad girl. it's not that i haven't been scrappin' or stampin' or creatin'. i have been doing quite a bit of it, never as much as i'd like though. i've just not posted any of it since, well, i don't know.

one of my promises in this new year is to comunicate better for myself. so i'll be doing better at posting my projects so you can see and share, and most importantly... learning how to post them properly! and with that said, here's a few peeks at what i've been working on since my last post:

i just love this set. it's called 'bloomin beautiful' from stampin up! one of the things i like to do is stamp an image and then watercolor it in. more to come...
